The OLGA dynamic simulation model consists of the following components:
User Interface - The user interface provides for the input and output of the transient production and phase model calculations. The user interface includes the inputs for the transient model, such as the injection profiles of the different phases, the production rate of the different phases, and the production objective. The interface also provides the outputs of the transient simulation, including the production rates for each phase.
Environment - The environment determines the location of the simulation model and is used to determine the dynamic boundary conditions. The environment can be land, deepwater, or onshore.
Hydraulic model - The hydraulic model represents the movement of oil, gas, and water through a well or pipeline. The hydraulic model can also include the pumping system, if desired.
Phase behavior - The phase behavior affects the phase flow and movement. The phase behavior can be governed by a number of different factors, such as temperature, pressure, porosity, viscosity, etc.
Auxiliary flows - An auxiliary flow is an additional component of the flow system.
The OLGA dynamic multiphase flow simulator produces a production rate for each phase, just as the oil and gas well model does. However, the dynamic simulation is a much larger problem with many more components, so it is not as straightforward as running a well model. The OLGA dynamic simulator must be run multiple times to generate the oil and gas production results in each time increment. 827ec27edc
