It is technically possible to downgrade a GT-100 version 2 to an earlier version, but the earlier versions may not available for user download, so if you need to do this, you will probably have to send your GT-100 to our service department for this procedure.
Before you download the GT-100 version 2 driver be sure you have updated your GT-100 to version 2 first; you do not need the driver to do this. You should also uninstall the version 1 driver before installing the version 2 driver.
It is not possible to import GT-8 patches into a GT-100. They are very different from each other, with different effects, parameters and even technology and therefore cannot read patches from a different unit.
If your GT-100 is updated to Version 2, use the TONE STUDIO Program to save your patches. Here are the steps:1. Turn on your GT-100 and connect it to your computer via USB2. Open the BOSS TONE STUDIO for GT program. The program should detect your GT-100 and a window will open saying CHOOSE A DEVICE TO CONNECT WITH listing the GT-1003. Click OK4. Click LIBRARIAN5. Click BACKUP
I have not upgraded my GT-100 yet but i am looking forward to doing so! Thanks Roland for the upgrade! I do have a couple of questions though. From what I have been reading we will still be able to import our old patches that we have saved in the Librarian, is this correct? Also I downloaded the the new pre-set list and noticed it did not specify what the accel pedal did in each patch. Was there a reason for this or was it just an omission? Once again on behalf of all us GT-100 owners Thanks for thinking of us!
You can import and use all the user patches from GT-100 Version 1 in GT-100 Version 2. Since it does not remove any parameters, everything you have in your user banks will still work. You are correct that the Version 2 Patch list does not not indicate the ACC/CTL settings, as did the list for Version 1. We do not know why, but oversight or time constraints are a possibility.
Version 2 adds several new effects and amps so there are new factory patches to show these features. Many of the new patches, as you have noticed, have only preamps and noise suppressors in their dual channels. However, it is possible to add effects to either channel as before in Version 1 and control them. We added FX2 to channel B in patch P01-1, which is a patch using only preamps in the dual channels. We assigned the ACCEL/CTL pedal to, in addition to switching channels, also turn on and off FX2 and turn on and off the Delay when Channel B was selected. This worked correctly without difficulty. We have not been able to replicate your experience yet, but will continue to test to be sure these functions are working properly.
Yes: there are two FX groups in the GT-100: FX 1 and FX 2. They both contain a large amount of effects, any one of which you can select and use in a given patch. Both of these groups contain both Sound Hold and Harmonist, while FX2 also contains Overtone. To use them at the same time, just select Sound Hold or Harmonist from FX1 and select Overtone from FX 2.
We expect GT-100 Version 2 and the GT-100 compatible software to be available for download around mid April. This could change, so please check the BOSSus or BOSS TONE CENTRAL websites for any ETA updates.
You may have noticed that the rear panel of the GT-100 contains a USB port. This will allow you to use the Boss Tone Studio software to quickly and easily create and edit patches on your PC. This is usually a much easier way than editing the patches directly on the GT-100 itself. Boss Tone Studio is also compatible with the desktop version of the GT-100, the Boss GT-001.
Essentially this also allows people to easily share patches with each other. If you create a patch you like, you can simply email it to a friend. You can visit Boss Tone Central to access their vast database of additional patches, some created by well known artists. There are also a handful of YouTube users that have also made their patches available. Check out the examples below from Jack Thammarat.

To assay SNPs rs2303729, rs1131620, rs1051303 and rs10880, we used the Sequenom MassARRAY platform (Sequenom Inc, San Diego, California, USA) according to manufacturer's protocols, except for the PCR cycling protocol, which was performed as a step-down protocol (see online supplementary methods). Multiplex genotyping assays were designed using Sequenom MassARRAY Assay Design Suite, V.1.0 (Sequenom Inc). After a step-down PCR, a primer extension reaction was performed to introduce mass differences between alleles. Primer sequences are indicated in online supplementary table S2. The product was spotted onto a target chip with 384 patches containing matrix. Mass differences were detected using the MassARRAY Compact System (Bruker, Wormer, the Netherlands) by matrix-assisted laser desorption\ionisation time-of-flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF). Data were acquired in real time with the MassARRAY RT software (Sequenom Inc) and genotypes were assigned using MassARRAY Typer 4.0.22 software (Sequenom Inc). Quality control was performed by duplicating 38 samples within and across plates and by the incorporation of control DNA as positive control and water as negative control.
In addition to measuring the length of the folded left wing, nestlings were weighed, the shape and colour of their cheek patches were noted and, in the breeding season of 2014 they were photographed in order to prepare descriptions of the changes in their physical appearance with age. 2b1af7f3a8
